TAG Heuer men’s luxury watches and women’s swiss watches make timekeeping an art.

Within the world of Swiss watches and luxury watches – well known for their quality and precision – TAG Heuer timepieces are in a class apart. Featuring the most advanced technology and unconventional design, they are much more than luxury timepieces or sports watches – they are the benchmark in watchmaking.

Indeed, TAG Heuer chronograph watches are recognised as the height of Swiss watch timekeeping accuracy. As such, the brand’s luxury sport watches are the official timekeepers of one of the world’s most prominent races, the Monaco Grand Prix. TAG Heuer is also proud to be the official partner of Oracle Team USA, winner of the America’s Cup, and cherished Formula 1 automotive manufacture McLaren – bringing together speed and timekeeping precision in perfect harmony.

In doing so, TAG Heuer combines hand craftsmanship with the best in today’s technology. Its ladies’ and men’s watches inspire innovation and excellence while upholding its rich heritage. Fully modern yet decidedly timeless, a TAG Heuer swiss watch exceeds mere aesthetics: ensuring this first-rate mechanical precision, its automatic watches boast high frequencies beginning at 21,600 vibrations per hour and climbing all the way to 360,000 vibrations per hour, as exemplified by the Calibre 360. It is not surprise, then, that a number of its automatic watch movements have earned the prestigious Official Swiss Chronometer Control (C.O.S.C.) certificate.

When it comes to aesthetics, TAG Heuer swiss timepieces are just as impressive. Fashioned by the field’s utmost experts, these luxury Swiss watches blend the finest materials in perfect harmony. Whether utilising the best in traditional materials – like solid gold or stainless steel, calfskin or alligator leather – or complementing them with more current, contemporary materials – like high-tech rubber and modern fabric – TAG Heuer blurs the lines of what sports watches and luxury watches truly are. Likewise, with fine brushing, black PVD finish and ruthenium treatment, the watches’ quality finishes are both sophisticated yet innovative, attractive yet ever functional.

Not to be left behind, its watches for women are the summit of discrete elegance, with its diamond watches adding a particularly soft sparkle of femininity to the iconic men’s watch models that have built TAG Heuer’s reputation: the TAG Heuer Carrera, the Aquaracer, the Monaco, the Link and the TAG Heuer Formula 1. Boasting luxury materials and clean lines, these tasteful ladies’ timepieces continue the tradition of expert craftsmanship and impressive accuracy that have shaped the brand’s DNA for more than a hundred years.

All this to say that TAG Heuer timepieces are about more than just luxury or precision: they embody the best that Swiss craftsmanship has to offer. Arrestingly beautiful yet fully dependable, finely crafted yet resolutely high-tech, strikingly contemporary yet timelessly refined: TAG Heuer gives new meaning to luxury watches for men and women.

03 Feb. ALAIN PROST & TAG HEUER BACK TOGETHER

TAG Heuer is proud to announce that four-time World Champion Alain Prost is re-joining the prestigious dream team of TAG Heuer Brand Ambassadors. The French motor-racing legend, will play a prominent role alongside Vodafone McLaren Mercedes star Jenson Button for the Swiss watch brand’s “150 Years of Motor-Racing” celebrations in 2011.

“It is great to be back!” said Prost after winning on Sunday December 5th at Val Thorens / French Alps the 1st Race of the ‘’Trophée Andros’’ Ice Championship

“I’ve been a friend of TAG Heuer since my earliest days in F1 and we have worked very closely when I drove for McLaren. It’s a privilege and an honor to be back by being associated with Jenson to commemorate their 150 year-long contribution to motor-sports’’ mentioned Alain Prost.

The return of a TAG Heuer Legend

Alain Prost was wearing TAG Heuer colors and chronographs when he won three of his four FIA Formula One World championships for McLaren in the late 80s. The second most prolific winner in F1 history, Prost took a total of 51 victories, 33 pole positions, 41 best laps and 106 podiums in 199 races between 1980 and 1993. His smooth, relaxed driving style earned him the nickname “Professor” but it was his intense competitive edge that won him the respect of fellow drivers and the admiration of motor-sports fans around the world. In 1999, he received the World Sports Awards of the Century alongside Pelé, Muhammed Ali, Carl Lewis and Steffi Graf.

‘’TAG Heuer has a unique DNA in motor-sports, combining Prestige and Performance. Their iconic products are directly inspired by cars, tracks and drivers. I will work very closely with TAG Heuer designers to develop some specific timepieces’’ stated Alain Prost.

“We are delighted to have Alain back in our team,” said TAG Heuer President and CEO Jean-Christophe Babin. “He represents one of our longest-standing relationships in motor-racing. We backed him during one of the truly golden period of Formula One, when he was battling it out with Ayrton Senna, another prestigious F1 brand ambassador. Later, we supported him in the Andros Ice Race as we will do again in 2011. Now he’s back to help Jenson and the whole TAG Heuer motor-sports partners to celebrate our 150 years of Mastering Speed’’.

TAG Heuer’s association to Grand Prix racing goes back to the 1950s legend Juan Manuel Fangio, a five-time world champion and long-time friend of the brand. In 1969, Jo Siffert was the 1st racing ambassador while in 1971, Heuer was the 1st non technical sponsor to partner with a Formula One team, the mythical Scuderia Ferrari. Since the 70’, TAG Heuer was always associated with the best events, teams and drivers (including Jacky Ickx, Clay Regazzoni, Emerson Fittipaldi, Niki Lauda, Gilles Villeneuve, Ayrton Senna, Michael Schumacher, Mika Häkkinen, Jacques Villeneuve, David Coulthard, Kimi Räikkönen, Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button in F1).

For next year’s “150 Years of Mastering Speed” celebrations, TAG Heuer will continue and reinforce its partnership with Vodafone McLaren Mercedes in F1 (27 consecutive years) , with Audi Sport for Endurance races and at Le Mans 24 Hours, with Indy 500 and with Audi, McLaren GT cars as well as Tesla Electric Roadster.

In 2011, Alain Prost, Jenson Button, Audi drivers and young talents from different racing categories will participate in a series of commemorative events, promoting the best of watches, Chronographs and timing equipments inspired by motorsports.
