It’s officially Action O’Clock at TAG Heuer. We’re ready to dive into a new era of extreme sports and share the sensation of amazing athletes all over the world pushing their limits and going above and beyond – and under, through, in between, around and pretty much every way imaginable – the limits of strength and stamina.
The wind gusts become more intense, the air grows colder, the waves rise higher and higher. It would be easy to turn around and go home, but these brave souls don't do easy. When the going gets tough, they get going. These athletes dare to brave the elements, push further and dream bigger to tackle extreme sports. Against the backdrop of stunning scenery, natural environments and undiscovered territory, our dauntless daredevils walk along the edge of danger and do everything they can not to fall. These riders, sliders and gliders are addicted to life and hooked on excitement. TAG Heuer is thrilled to be a part of the wonderful world of extreme sports from freeriding, snowboarding, skiing, surfing, kitesurfing, freediving, stand-up paddle and beyond.
About Thierry Donard
Passionate about action sports since he was 5 years old, Thierry made his first ski film at 13. In 1978 he met someone who would change his life: Dick Barrymore, an American film director and action sports film pioneer in the U.S.. Thierry worked alongside him for 10 years. He also brought Uhaina on board, an action sports filmmaker, creating the first film released under the label “Nuit de la Glisse” with his avant-garde group of skier and surfer friends in 1984.
Alongside his sporting activities, Thierry made the first 90-minute feature-length film dedicated to actions sports to be broadcast in France. He continued between 1989-94 with the concept series “Pushing the Limit” in collaboration with France Télévisions and released a fictional feature in 1992, which drew on the true stories from filming the T.V. series. In 1996 Thierry took over directing the “Nuit de la Glisse” series of which he was one of the founding members.
Since 2003, his films have been screened in cinemas across the world under the label Perfect Moment Entertainment.
